Norval

We took a day off school to go to a team-building place called Norval. It was fun because we got to do all sorts of activities like the Inuit blanket toss, mission impossible, the wall, and a drum circle.

With the Inuit blanket toss, one person sat in the middle while everyone else pulled on the edges. The person in the middle would be propelled into the air. You would have to trust everyone around to not let you hit the ground when you came down. I was the first one to go. It was a lot of fun because of the felling of being thrown up in the air.

Mission impossible was by far my most favourite activity. For mission impossible one person would have a full body harness on while everyone else was on four different ropes. The ropes where attached to the harness. Four balls where scattered across a small area and the people holding the ropes had to pull you toward the balls and you had to pick them all up. This activity was the best for me because everyone pulled me up as high into the air as the ropes could go.

The wall was one of the most challenging because everyone in their group had to get over a fourteen-foot wall. Three people where allowed to be on the platform on the other side. Everyone had to be doing a job, even if it was spotting or lifting people over the wall. It was a difficult challenge but we managed to get our whole group over. Altogether it was a really fun day.

The Little Things That Matter The Most

The little things in life are the things that you will remember. Like when I walk into my front door of my house and my dog Mae is there to see me, having a home to sleep in, having parents that take care of me, when I am sick there is a doctor you go see. We all have loving families that cheer us up when we are down.

 my dog Mae

Little stones make big piles

Little steps can cover miles

Little acts of loving-kindness

Give the world its biggest smiles

Little words can sooth big troubles

Little hugs can dry big tears

Little candles can spread much light

Little memories last forever

Little dreams can change the world

Little victories to success

It's the little things in life

That brings the greatest happiness

Famous Quotes

“It’s kind of fun to do the impossible” – Walt Disney

I think this quote means that some thing may seem impossible, but the fun is doing them.

There are so many things that I think are impossible. I wonder if it would be fun to some of them. To me it really depends on the situation, I used to think it was impossible for to go bungee jumping at this age, but its not completely based on age but also on weight. Luckily I weight enough and was well over that age and I got to some thing I thought for me at this age was impossible.

If there is something that you thought was impossible, go out and try to do it.

Blog #1 Poverty

Poverty? I don’t understand why poverty exists. We talk about it all the time so why don’t we do anything about it? There are some organizations that help against poverty, but if we really care about it there would less. Every day so many people die because they never have anything to eat. We could all do something to help so why don’t we.

We don’t help to stop poverty because we think to much about our selves to consider those million people who would wish for one decent meal a day. Instead they eat the smallest amount of food that we would consider just a little snack before we eat dinner. There are so many ways that we could be saving a life. One day you might find some soup cans that you don’t think you would be eating, you could bring them to a food bank and some grateful person will come and pick up that can that you put down. Wouldn’t that make you feel better, and all you did was donate some food. Just think of all the bigger things that we could be doing?

So, next time you go to throw out something that you never needed or if its food that you never ate. Think about someone’s life that you could have been saving.
